Space is an endless expanse, constantly expanding and changing. Federation space is not endless. But it is always changing. And, with change, come those who would prey on it, who would hurt loyal citizens of the Federation for their own gain. Sometimes these threats originate from outside Federation space, and sometimes they do not. But one ship will always be there to defend what is right and just, and to dispense justice to all those who would create chaos and disorder in the harmony and goodness of the Federation. This ship is called the USS Gladiator. This is the record of its journeys, as well as its trials. And, most importantly, these records are the epitaph of every man and woman that has ever had the honor of serving aboard the Gladiator; this is their story, and their journey.
